Cochrane sits on the slopes above the Bow River, and many homes are built on hillsides to take in the valley and the mountains. That shapes the paint work. Tall exterior walls, walkout levels and elevated decks mean more prep and more careful masking, and large windows facing the view make clean cut lines matter inside. Interiors are often open and bright, so a colour change or a feature wall really shows. Newer neighbourhoods and the older town core both have plenty of paintable surface, and we plan each job around the house itself.
Open slopes near the foothills take the weather head on. Strong sun, dry air and wind off the mountains wear on exterior paint and deck stain, and chinook swings between cold and mild can stress finishes. South and west facing decks fade first. Good prep matters more than anything: cleaning, scraping, sanding and sealing the right spots before a coat goes on. Send a photo of the weathered area and we will say plainly what we think it needs.
Decks and railings are a big one, since people here use their outdoor space and want the finish to hold. Exterior repaints, trim and doors come next, then interiors, ceilings and feature walls. We also paint commercial spaces. If you are unsure whether it is a paint job, ask. We do not paint kitchen cabinets. We mask windows, doors and eaves, prep before we spray, and clean up at the end. Estimates are free and start from a photo.
