About Vive Green Painting

We are a father-and-son painting family in Calgary. Fresh paint, clean finish, done right.

A two-storey house with red siding and dark trim, a ladder up to the gable — Exterior, trim and gables. A Vive Green Painting job.

Vive Green Painting is Jose Valenzuela and his father: a father-and-son painting family with 25 years of combined experience. The name came from his dad. It is a family name for a family business, and it is how we think about the work.

We paint homes and commercial spaces across Calgary: interiors, exteriors, feature walls, ceilings, decks and railings, doors and garage doors. Usually one or two painters are on a job, and more on a large house.

Our approach is simple. Prep first. Proper prep from start to end is what makes paint look right and last, so we mask windows, doors and eaves, cover everything that is not getting paint, and keep the lines clean. Because the difference is always in the details.

Estimates are free, and they are honest. Send a photo, or call, and we will tell you what the job involves and what it will cost. Insured and WCB-covered. We answer quickly, and we clean up when we are done.

How we work

Prep first
The finish is decided before the first coat. We prep properly from start to end and mask everything that is not getting paint.
Clean lines
Where one colour meets the next, the line should be sharp. We take our time on the edges and details, because that is what people notice.
Honest estimates
Free, clear and based on your photo. We tell you what the job needs, and we ask questions when we are not sure.
Done right
Finished, cleaned up and ready to use. Bad paint gets noticed. Great paint gets remembered.
