Airdrie has grown quickly, and a lot of its housing is relatively new: wide streets of vinyl-sided homes, attached garages, and large decks off the back. Newer homes bring their own paint jobs. Builder-grade walls often get a first repaint once the family has settled in, and a fresh colour change is usually the reason. Ceilings, feature walls and trim all get the same careful prep, with nothing rushed. Older homes in the established parts of town need the same attention, just with more patching.
Airdrie sits out on open prairie north of the city, and the wind is a constant. It dries a deck quickly, pushes grit across painted doors and trim, and strips weakened finishes faster than a sheltered yard would. Add strong prairie sun and long freeze-thaw seasons, and an exposed surface needs sound prep and a finish chosen to suit it. Send a photo of your deck, fence-side trim or front door, and we will tell you what we see.
In a town of family homes with big decks, the common jobs are deck and railing staining, exterior trim and doors, garage doors, and full interior repaints. We also paint commercial spaces, so a shop, office or unit can be handled the same way as a house. If it is paint-related, ask. The one thing we do not paint is kitchen cabinets. We mask windows, doors and eaves, then paper and tape before we spray, and we clean up when we finish.
Airdrie is about 35 km north of downtown Calgary, roughly 30 minutes up Hwy 2 (QEII). We start from Calgary, so a visit to Airdrie is a short, simple drive.
